MicroSoft is keen on encouraging game developers to got the plugin free, HTML5 way, and it’s a good move as well.

Recently, they revealed the new website that will help developers build HTML5 based games.

According to MS,

With the release of Internet Explorer 10 Platform Preview 5 for Windows 8 Consumer Preview, it’s never been easier to build sites that work well in all modern browsers. The web continues to evolve and IE10 PP5 supports 33 new HTML5 & CSS3 site-ready web standards – more than 2.5x more than IE9.

Most of these technologies are hardware accelerated, giving developers the in-browser performance to create web experiences that rival native applications. Both Cut the Rope or Jasmine V are great examples of web based HTML5 games in action.

Most developers learn how to create games through plug-ins like Flash, on Facebook, or through a set of technologies designed only for one platform like iOS.
